What does GPT Image 2.6 bring to GIFs?

OpenAI released GPT Image 2.6 on November 4, 2026, with Sunburst and Flare models. Both support animated GIF output, including animation guided by still reference images. For reaction stickers, that opens up small, expressive moments: a happy wiggle, a nod of agreement, or a goodbye wave.

A few things before you start

Can GPT Image 2.6 generate GIFs?

Yes. OpenAI’s official guide lists animated GIF output for GPT Image 2.6, including animation guided by still reference images.

What kind of photo works best for stickers?

Use a clear, well-lit photo with a visible subject. Keep facial features readable in selfies, distinctive markings visible in pet photos, and everyone in frame for group shots.

Does animation cost extra on KakaMeme?

Review the eligibility and cost displayed in the creator before generating. A new-user static sticker offer does not include free animation.

Can I download the result as a GIF?

After animation finishes, you can preview and download GIFs from the result page. Importing them as a chat sticker pack may require a format conversion or a smaller file.
